A great party and membership drive. Bruce brought a bunch of his parrots and everyone had an awesome time… Scotty played for like 6 hours and boats from around Coco Marina were tied at the docks to partake in the festivities.
Lee Walters hosted this party to break in his new pool and Tiki Bar. All in all, that Tiki Bar had to be closed for major renovations after this event. Lee was surprised to awake and find club President Tom Bullard and his lovely wife Karen, sleeping in his patio furniture the next morning. Scotty Bryan once played until 2 AM, (nice neighbors Lee), and finished off the performance by throwing his wife in the Jacuzzi… oh, my mistake, she was already in there… for 4 1/2 hours. This was definitely a great party to kick off the year. The club took a little break, due to the amount of energy we put out on the Jimmy Buffet pre-concert party from 2007.
Although slightly shadowed by the fact the Bryan’s will be leaving Hawaii to move to Key West, we had a great time. Scott played through three rain storms and the party never stopped. Scott was joined on Congas, by his friend Dan from the mainland, Rob Frankel on Guitar, Rick Thomas on Mandolin and Cajon, and a special guest appearance by Ethan, Lee and Angel Walters son on rhythm guitar.
