Hope everyone who attended the Phlocking this past Saturday night at Tiki’s Bar and Grill had a great time.  We had 16 members show up, a pretty good turnout considering the Pro Bowl events and traffic associated with it!!!  Johnny Helms put on a great show, and promises to learn some Buffett for our next gathering at Tiki’s.  We would also like to thank all those who donated to the Close-Up student trip.  We collected $450 for the group of students from McKinnley High heading to Washing D.C this spring.  Mahalo to everyone for donating attending…

Aloha,

The Pau Hana Parrot Heads celebrated the holiday’s again this year in Downtown Honolulu at The Dragon Room, upstairs from Hank’s Cafe. The event was kicked off with the “White Elephant Gift Exchange”, several very popular gifts made their way around the room before finally being claimed. The Blues/Jazz group Chris Vandercook Band provided some fantastic music for the event and seemed to be popular with most everyone. A strange Santa Charater even rolled in off the street and livened up the party even more with his wild dancing. A total of twenty eight Parrot Heads attended the event, coming in from as far away as Nanakuli and Calgary Canada. We would like to thank Hank for letting us use this great venue again this year and Paul our bartender for his great personality and service. A significant amount of pet food and cash were also collected for the Hawaiian Humane Society and will be donated this week. Hope to see everyone out again next month at our January gathering.
